Job Summary

A company is looking for an Underwriting Trainee.

Key Responsibilities

• Review credit information to determine additional required documents for processing
• Respond to agent inquiries regarding risk eligibility and underwriting policies
• Process and issue mid-term premium and endorsement transactions

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Bachelor's degree in Risk Management or Business preferred, or related discipline with commensurate experience
• 6 months to 1 year of related experience
• Preferred certifications include Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) or Associate in Commercial Underwriting (AU)
• Understanding of underwriting procedures and concepts is essential
