Research Analyst and Project Administrator (Implementation Specialist)

Join Hazel Executive & Boards, a boutique executive search and advisory firm, as our Research Analyst & Project Administrator — a vital position supporting our Founder & Managing Partner to deliver exceptional leadership recruitment services for public sector and for-purpose organizations.

Role Overview

As the Research Analyst & Project Administrator, you’ll play a critical role in supporting our executive search engagements. This is a multi-faceted position combining in-depth market research, project coordination, and high-quality documentation.

Key Responsibilities


Executive Research & Market Mapping

  •  Conduct targeted market research to identify and profile executive talent. 
  •  Create insightful market maps aligned with client briefs. 
  •  Use tools like Loxo CRM and other databases to gather and deliver actionable intelligence. 


Project Administration & Workflow Support

  •  Coordinate end-to-end project timelines and milestones. 
  •  Maintain up-to-date documentation and ensure smooth progress tracking. 
  •  Support consultants with pitches, candidate reports, and client-ready presentations. 


Document Management & Quality Assurance

  • Prepare high-quality client deliverables with accuracy and consistency. 
  •  Ensure document version control and apply quality checks on research and candidate data. 

 Internal Support & Collaboration

  •  Act as a key support partner to the Founder and consultants. 
  •  Proactively suggest process improvements and provide scheduling/admin assistance. 


Data Integrity & Knowledge Management

  • Maintain clean, accurate data across internal systems (e.g., Loxo CRM). 
  •  Continuously improve research methods and knowledge-sharing practices. 


What We're Looking For

Experience & Education

  • Experience in executive search, market research, or project coordination.
  • Exposure to professional services or recruitment environments is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred (not required).

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong research and analytical abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and document preparation skills.
  • Solid project management and organisational capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Loxo, Canva, or Gamma a bonus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Positive, proactive attitude with a collaborative mindset — and a great sense of humour!
