Role Purpose

We are seeking a highly organized and technically adept Program Manager to oversee complex, multi-team initiatives and ensure structured execution across cross-functional teams. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on bringing clarity and cadence to large programs, enabling execution at scale, and delivering strategic visibility across Engineering, QA, Infrastructure, Data, Platform, and Launch teams.

This is not a Scrum Master role. Instead, you will own and drive program-level governance and coordination, with a strong emphasis on Jira structuring, automation, and Confluence-based roadmap visibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own program-level tracking and delivery across multiple cross-functional domains (Dev, Infra, Data, QA, Platform, Launch).
  • Establish and lead Scrum of Scrums rituals, ensuring timely coordination, alignment, and dependency management.
  • Define and manage program-wide release planning processes, including weekly release cadences.
  • Create and drive quarterly roadmap reviews, monthly progress reviews, and weekly execution syncs.
  • Partner with Product Management to ensure ongoing alignment between the product roadmap and execution across all teams.
  • Ensure clear communication of product priorities, delivery milestones, and dependencies across domains.
  • Build and enforce scalable Jira structures, including:
  • Program → Epics → Stories → Sub-tasks hierarchy
  • Advanced Roadmaps for multi-team planning and forecasting
  • Jira Automation Rules for workflows, alerts, and updates
  • Mentor teams on Jira best practices:

Writing clear, actionable stories and tasks

Maintaining clean backlog hygiene and proper estimation

  • Use Confluence to maintain all program-level documentation (timelines, goals, decisions, release calendars).
  • Track and report on resource planning, surfacing bandwidth constraints and staffing needs early.
  • Collaborate with merchant- and issuer-facing program managers for cross-org coordination and dependencies.
  • Act as a communication bridge between execution teams and senior leadership/C-level, enabling transparency and clarity on progress, risks, and goals.

Measures of Success

Measures of Success – First 6 Months

1. Jira Structure & Tooling Enablement

  • A consistent Jira project structure (Epics → Stories → Sub-tasks) is established across all relevant teams.
  • Teams are trained and coached on Jira best practices, including backlog hygiene and ticket clarity.
  • Jira Advanced Roadmaps are built and shared for at least 3 key cross-functional programs.
  • Jira automation rules are configured to improve efficiency (e.g., status updates, dependency flags, notifications).

 2. Program Cadence & Visibility

  • Regular Scrum of Scrums is launched and running weekly with consistent participation from team leads.
  • A weekly release planning cadence is defined and operational across Engineering, QA, and Platform teams.
  •  Quarterly roadmap review process is introduced, with alignment between Product, Engineering, and other stakeholders.
  •  Monthly program progress reviews are in place and shared with leadership and key stakeholders.
  •  Confluence is actively used to publish and maintain program timelines, documentation, and release calendars.

3. Cross-Team & Product Alignment

 5. Stakeholder Feedback & Influence

  • Receives positive feedback from at least 3 stakeholder groups (e.g., Product, Engineering Leads, QA).
