Job Summary

A company is looking for an Authorization Specialist Associate to work from home in Pennsylvania.

Key Responsibilities

• Obtain and secure prior authorization for procedures and admissions while verifying insurance coverage
• Coordinate communication between providers, nurses, and office staff to manage peer-to-peer reviews and denials
• Conduct research and follow-up on accounts, ensuring timely completion of precertification and related processes

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) is required
• Minimum of 2 years of related work experience is required
• Knowledge of financial services regulatory environment is preferred
• Experience with billing and coding processes related to precertification is beneficial
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
