Job Summary

A company is looking for a Sr Cancer Registry Tech.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and collect cancer cases from various medical sources and confirm diagnoses through electronic medical records
• Abstract and code pertinent information from medical records, ensuring compliance with cancer registry standards and guidelines
• Enter abstracted data accurately into the cancer registry database and maintain knowledge of coding and staging guidelines

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with four years of experience in multi-EMR applications, or an Associate's degree with one year of recent abstracting experience in a cancer registry
• Certification as a Tumor Registrar (CT CTR) is mandatory
• Thorough knowledge of cancer registry processes and procedures
• Strong understanding of cancer diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote environment
