We are looking for a Marketing Consultant with VP-level experience in B2B professional services marketing to help define and execute our growth strategy. This is a high-impact, strategic role where you’ll work directly with the founder to shape Alta’s go-to-market approach, balancing outbound sales support, inbound marketing and strategic partnerships.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building and optimizing marketing strategies for high-trust, relationship-driven businesses. If you have a strong background in Account-Based Marketing (ABM), inbound content strategy and partnership-driven growth and have helped professional services firms scale from a small but high-quality customer base, we’d love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
1. Define & Refine Alta’s Growth Strategy
- Develop a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligns with founder-led sales efforts while also building a scalable inbound lead generation system.
- Determine the right mix of outbound ABM campaigns, content-driven inbound marketing and strategic efforts to maximize brand reach and client acquisition.
- Conduct a market assessment to identify the most effective channels for reaching venture-backed startup founders and VCs.
2. Support Founder-Led Sales & Outbound Marketing
- Design targeted ABM campaigns to engage high-value startup clients and VCs.
- Create sales enablement materials (case studies, pitch decks, one-pagers) to streamline outreach and improve conversion rates.
- Optimize LinkedIn and email sequences to make outbound efforts more efficient and scalable.
- Establish best practices for sales and marketing alignment, ensuring seamless handoffs and follow-ups.
3. Build a Scalable Inbound Marketing Engine
- Develop a thought leadership and content strategy that positions Alta Advisors as a go-to expert for deeptech and hardtech startups.
- Oversee blog content, LinkedIn insights, and founder-focused reports to drive inbound leads.
- Optimize SEO and website lead capture to improve organic visibility and engagement.
- Implement lead magnets, nurture sequences, and automation to convert inbound interest into qualified conversations.
4. Develop Strategic Partnerships & Industry Presence
- Identify and establish key partnerships with VCs, startup accelerators, and industry groups to drive referrals and credibility.
- Plan co-marketing initiatives and speaking engagements to strengthen Alta’s presence in the startup ecosystem.
- Leverage events—both hosted and third-party—as a core go-to-market channel to build relationships, generate leads, and increase brand visibility.
5. Optimize Marketing Operations & Automation
- Implement CRM and marketing automation workflows to track and manage prospect engagement.
- Improve lead tracking, segmentation, and nurture flows to ensure prospects receive the right touchpoints at the right time.
- Define and monitor key performance metrics, making data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in B2B marketing, with VP-level expertise in professional services, consulting, or financial services.
- Proven experience scaling a professional services firm (finance, accounting, strategic advisory, or similar).
- Deep expertise in Account-Based Marketing (ABM), inbound marketing, and partnership-driven growth.
- Strong ability to align marketing with founder-led sales efforts, improving efficiency and conversion rates.
- A track record of creating high-impact content, thought leadership, and SEO-driven inbound marketing strategies.
- Familiarity with LinkedIn Sales Navigator, CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Pipedrive), and marketing automation platforms.

- Rate: $150–$200/hour based on experience
