The Sr. Financial Analyst is responsible for the financial planning, financial analysis, and management reporting for multiple departments within the company. Responsibilities will include ownership and maintenance of the company’s management reporting tool, creating the monthly management reporting package and quarterly earnings financial results package, and leading the annual budget/planning process, quarterly forecasting, and month-end variance reporting for their areas of the business. The Sr. Financial Analyst will be required to build and maintain relationships across the organization to ensure timely communication of pertinent information between departments. Nature of work requires the ability to work independently and receive guidance only on unusual complex problems or issues.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Help maintain, build, and expand the Company’s management reporting and management forecasting tool to enable P&L, balance sheet and cash flow modeling of the global business.
- Leads the creation of the management financial reporting package including P&L, margin analysis, revenue reporting, operating expense analysis, balance sheet and cash flow.
- Maintains key performance indicator reporting used by senior management to drive results.
- Leads the creation of Quarterly earnings financial results and material used by senior management.
- Central point of contact for budgeting and financial reporting for multiple departments across various entities within the organization.
- Partners with G&A and Corporate leadership on monthly reporting and forecasting — helps consolidate deliverables and reconcile outputs with finance.
- Owns the monthly financial close process for their areas of responsibility, including preparing accrual and reclass journal entries, and partnering with Accounting to ensure financial accuracy.
- Owns and maintains the Company’s management reporting and forecasting tool, partnering with SEC reporting to ensure Management reporting reflects Consolidated Financial results.
- Reviews monthly reports and analysis on revenue and operating expenses as compared to the operating plan and forecasts with business partners. Monitor and communicate opportunities and/or gaps in P&L, by maintaining a set of business metrics.
- Drive new and novel Power BI business intelligence reporting and analysis initiatives that impact and influence business decision making.

- Experience with 3 Statement Financial Modeling
- Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Strong analytical, problem solving and reconciliation skills

- Solid knowledge of corporate finance concepts
- Highly organized with a capacity to manage large amounts of data, multiple priorities, and light deadlines with minimal supervision or direction.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to distill large amounts of complex information into a concise message
- Expertise with Microsoft Excel and mastery of other PC applications including Outlook, PowerPoint and Microsoft Word required.
- Adaptive Insights (or similar management reporting systems) experience preferred.
- SAP (or similar ERP systems) experience preferred.
- Power BI (or similar business intelligence tool) experience preferred.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Finance, Accounting, or Economics)
- 3-5 years of experience in financial management, business planning and analysis, and/or public accounting
- Moderate experience in financial modeling
- Comprehensive understanding of business from the perspective of finance and commercial operations
- Public accounting experience a plus
- Experience in a Sarbanes-Oxley control environment
- Cloud based financial modeling experience a plus

Salary Range
Alphatec Spine, Inc. complies with state and federal wage and hour laws and compensation depends upon candidate’s qualifications, education, skill set, years of experience, and internal equity. $100,000 to $110,000 Full-Time Annual Salary
