What makes this role exciting and challenging:

As a Hybrid QA Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and success of our software products by combining solid QA expertise with a foundational understanding of test automation. You’ll be involved throughout the entire software development lifecycle, helping to ensure comprehensive test coverage, fast feedback loops, and effective collaboration across teams.

You will gradually take on scripting and maintaining automated tests (functional, integration, and E2E), working within our existing frameworks and toolsets, and collaborating closely with automation engineers and developers, in order to promote scalable and maintainable testing practices across the QA lifecycle.

As part of your everyday responsibilities, you will:

• Review requirements, specifications, and technical documents, and provide meaningful feedback early in the lifecycle.
• Design, document, and execute test plans and test cases for functional, exploratory, and regression testing.
• Perform testing across multiple platforms (web and mobile) and devices.
• Take ownership of test analysis, test design, test data creation, and test execution.
• Record detailed bug reports and track them to resolution.
• Contribute to user story acceptance criteria and participate in sprint activities.
• Responsible for the CI/CD (build, test, deploy through Github/Bitrise pipelines).
• Contribute in the setup and maintenance of our test automation framework & infrastructure.
• Contribute in the setup  & maintenance of our security pipelines.
• Contribute in performance testing tasks.
• Perform API testing using tools such as Postman or SoapUI.
• Participate in test estimation and planning activities.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Developers, and SETs to align on quality expectations.
• Gradually support the development of basic automated test scripts (functional, integration, or regression) under guidance.
• Contribute to test case reviews and help improve QA practices and documentation.
• Understand CI/CD flows and participate in test execution through GitHub Actions.
• Support continuous improvement of QA processes and test strategies.

Key qualifications for your success:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of hands-on experience in manual software testing.
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills in English.
• Familiarity with QA best practices, exploratory testing, and Agile methodologies.
• Familiarity with test management tools such as Jira Zephyr etc.
• Basic understanding of automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or WebdriverIO.
• Basic coding ability in any of the following programming languages: Java, Groovy, Python, Javascript, Typescript, and C++.
• Experience with automation frameworks using tools like: Spock, Geb, Selenium, Cypress, Webdriver.io, Cucumber, SoapUI, or similar.
• Experience in testing and developing Web services (REST or SOAP) is a plus.
• Familiarity with using version control and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub).
• Experience testing web and mobile applications.
• Good understanding of APIs and ability to use tools like Postman or SoapUI.
• Experience with databases and ability to write simple queries.
• ISTQB Foundation Level Certification or similar is a plus.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted testing of any type is a plus.
