Job Title: Freight Coordinator
Schedule: M-F, 9AM to 6PM Pacific Time
Salary: $1,000 - $1,500/month
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Freight Coordinator to join our Logistics Team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end scheduling and management of freight deliveries between our third-party logistics (3PL) warehouses and retail partner locations. Responsibilities:
- Pick-Up and Delivery Coordination
- Communicate daily with carriers, freight forwarders, 3PL warehouses, and retail partners to plan routing schedules based on time-sensitive pick-up and delivery appointments.
- Schedule and confirm inventory pick-ups from 3PL warehouses according to outbound shipping plans.
- Coordinate delivery appointments with retail partner stores and carriers to ensure on-time arrivals.
- Manage all shipping documentation, including BOLs, parcel labels, packing slips, and commercial invoices.
- Track shipments in transit and proactively update all relevant internal and external stakeholders.
- Exception and Issue Management
- Monitor delivery progress and handle exceptions such as delays, missed pick-ups, failed deliveries, or damage claims.
- Communicate issues to internal stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with carriers, warehouse teams, and retail partners to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
- Maintain detailed records of delivery incidents and work toward continuous process improvement with logistics providers.
- Return Shipment Management
- Coordinate reverse logistics from retail locations back to 3PL warehouses.
- Ensure return shipments are properly labeled, documented, and tracked.
- Verify receipt and condition of returned goods, updating internal systems as needed.
- Data Accuracy and Reporting
- Maintain accurate shipment logs and track logistics KPIs such as on-time performance and issue resolution.
- Prepare regular performance and exception reports for the logistics team.
- Audit freight invoices and delivery documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with contractual terms.
- Stakeholder Communication and Alignment
- Serve as the primary point of contact for freight scheduling and delivery updates across internal teams and external partners.
- Maintain clear, timely, and consistent communication with store managers, warehouse contacts, and freight providers
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in freight coordination, logistics, or supply chain support, ideally within a retail and/or 3PL environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple shipments and resolve issues concurrently.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite), TMS (Transportation Management Systems), WMS (Warehouse Management Systems), or shipment tracking platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; customer service-oriented.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets for tracking and reporting.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a remote or offshore setup, with flexibility to manage different time zones.
