Promotional Copywriter (Part-Time Contract)

About the role:

The Promotional Copywriter is responsible for creating compelling and innovative copy to promote marketing assets across a variety of channels, including email, social media, third-party advertisements, and banner ads.  This is a temporary, part-time position for six months, approximately 15–20 hours per week. 

Responsibilities: 

• Develop engaging and concise copy that distills the value of various marketing assets being promoted to a technically minded scientific audience 
• Communicate similar information across different audiences with audience-appropriate messaging 
• Partner with in-house Content Writers, Product Marketing Managers, and other stakeholders to write and edit promotional copy that aligns with campaign goals 

• Understand and clearly articulate our positioning, products, and services following 10x Style Guidelines
• Attention to detail and a rigorous approach to the process

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a life science field (preferred), Marketing Communications, or English 
• Minimum of 2 years of professional copywriting experience in advertising and marketing, creating campaign copy, preferably in the biotech or pharma 
• Ability to work in an ambiguous environment
• Familiarity with 10x Genomics products is desired but not required
