z/OS Connect Developer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a z/OS Connect Mainframe Integration Developer to support the modernization of a critical federal legacy system.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain z/OS Connect APIs for integration with modern applications
• Collaborate with developers to ensure seamless orchestration between legacy and modernized components
• Support the incremental migration of mainframe functionality to cloud-native services

Required Qualifications

• Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance
• 5+ years of experience in mainframe development and integration
• Strong hands-on experience with z/OS Connect EE, including API creation
• Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, and DB2 on z/OS
• Experience with RESTful API design and JSON/XML data formats
