Wisk’s internship experience is a 12 week, hands-on program. Our goal for our internship program is to see what it’s like to be a full time Wisk employee and complete meaningful work.

We are looking for a Software Development Intern to join our team for summer 2025. The goal of an Software Development Intern at Wisk is to ensure that avionics software developed per industry standards for FAA certification. You will be part of the Avionics Vehicle Management System (VMS) Application Software team that develops flight software.

• As part of the Avionics Vehicle Management System organization, and deployed in an Application Software team you will act as a Software Development Intern for a novel type of aircraft development targeting the autonomous UAM market
• You will take part in the design of flight software per DO-178C and its supplements with the full life cycle processes and activities.
• You will help support problem solving activities through integration and collaboration with team members inside and outside the Application Software team.
• You will take part in writing software requirements, create design models/generate code, authoring hand code.

• Must be currently pursuing a bachelors, masters or PhD degree with an expected graduation date between December 2025 and June 2027
• Computer Science, Electronics major/degree.
• Hands-on experience with embedded software in C-language.

Hourly rate will be $25 USD an hour.

This internship role will be based at Wisk's office in Mountain View, California and relocation or housing will not be provided.

Must be able to work on-site in Mountain View, CA

You must be legally authorized to work in the US for the duration of Internship. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position

Must live in the US at both the time of application AND at the time the internship begins

Must be either a rising sophomore, junior, or senior in college

Must have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0, transcripts are required

Must be an enrolled student at both the time of application AND at the time the internship begins

Must be able to work 40 hours a week for 12 weeks (full-time for 3 months)
