POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly knowledgeable and passionate Canadian English Fitness and Health Subject Matter Expert Linguist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a profound understanding of fitness and health concepts, exercises, equipment, and wellness practices, along with exceptional linguistic skills. This role involves translating and localizing fitness and health-related content accurately and engagingly to suit our audience. You will collaborate closely with our team to ensure that our content is both culturally and contextually appropriate..

• Translate and localize fitness and health content for cultural relevance and contextual accuracy.
• Adapt content to reflect linguistic and cultural nuances while preserving the original message and tone.
• Review and edit translated content for precision, consistency, and quality.
• Ensure adherence to industry-specific terminology and style guidelines.
• Stay updated on fitness and health trends, terminology, and innovations.
• Provide insights and expertise on fitness and health topics.
• Conduct research to support content creation and ensure the accuracy of fitness and health-related information.

• Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Translation, Sports Science, Fitness Management, Journalism, Health, or a related field.
• Deep understanding of linguistic principles.
• Proficiency in creating, translating, and localizing content related to wellness, exercise, and nutrition.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to convey complex health concepts clearly and accurately.
• Keen eye for detail.
• Ensure all content is culturally relevant and resonates with diverse audiences.
• Promote a healthy lifestyle through engaging and precise language.
