Social Media Content Maker and Video Editor (6 Month Fixed Term Contract)

The Opportunity

Do you have a passion for creating standout social-first content using your skills in film, photography and graphic design?

Are you a versatile content creator who thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced creative environment?

We are looking for a talented and dynamic content creator with a background in film, photography and graphic design to join our award-winning creative team at We Are Social, London.

You'll become part of a wonderfully eclectic team of multidisciplinary creatives including designers, art directors, photographers, videographers, video editors, animators, 3D artists, illustrators and graphic designers, all united by a passion for compelling storytelling and social innovation.

This role is hands-on and varied, so we’re looking for someone with a real hybrid set of skills. You should be confident shooting and editing social-first video content, turning images into scroll-stopping memes, capturing photography for social, and designing assets that include motion and animation.

Ideally, you’ll bring agency experience and a strong portfolio packed with beautifully crafted, digital-first content. We want to see your creative process and how you think conceptually, alongside your finished work.

What You’ll Need To Deliver

• Conceptualised, created, designed, and visualised content for social media platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, Meta, Snapchat, X (formerly Twitter), YouTube, and other digital and social channels.
• Worked efficiently across multiple client accounts throughout the working day.
• Possessed excellent knowledge of social media platforms, and stayed up to date with the latest updates, regulations, and limitations for each.
• Proactively explored and championed new technologies, AI tools, and innovative design trends.
• Kept up to date on industry developments and trends, contributing proactive, forward-thinking ideas.
• Ensured all work was delivered on time and within budget, and flagged any potential delays or issues at the earliest opportunity.
• Remained calm under pressure and worked at speed without compromising quality.
• Was confident and comfortable operating behind the camera when required.

What Else Are We Looking For?

• In-depth knowledge of all Adobe Creative Suite applications, with an exceptional understanding of the design process and its implementation. Experience with additional editing software is a bonus.
• Skilled in shooting film and photography using DSLR cameras, smartphones, and a range of other formats.
• Strong social-first editing and motion design abilities.
• A craft-focused creative with a portfolio of concept-driven work.
• Passionate about social media and digital culture.
• Imaginative and original thinker.
• Obsessed with detail and committed to high standards.
• Collaborative team player and effective problem solver
• Capable of working quickly, efficiently, and under pressure.
