Washington Licensed Coding Policy Analyst

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coding Policy Analyst to coordinate and manage coding policies and edits within their claims editing system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Update and create coding policies and edit configurations in the claims editing system
  • Respond to provider and member appeals with appropriate coding rationale
  • Monitor changes to coding guidelines and implement updates in the claims adjudication software
Required Qualifications
  • Coding certification through AAPC (CPC) or AHIMA (CCS) upon hire
  • 5 years of experience in CPT coding from chart extraction with a healthcare provider or insurance company
  • 5 years of experience with detailed coding applications and Microsoft Office tools
