Reports to: IT Infrastructure Manager
Summary:
The Senior Helpdesk / Systems Administrator is responsible for providing high-quality technical support and system administration for a fast-paced and growing IT environment. The ideal candidate must possess excellent oral and written communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team. This role requires 3+ years of professional IT experience with a broad range of technologies, including Apple OS, cloud-based management tools, security platforms, and enterprise applications.
Primary Responsibilities:
Technical Support & Administration
- Provide software support for Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneDrive), Adobe Suite, and other enterprise applications.
- Set up and support hardware for new user deployments, including printers, monitors, cameras, keyboards, cabling, and mice.
- Assist users with account support, including password resets and troubleshooting access issues.
- Manage cloud-based VOIP phone systems (RingCentral), including user provisioning, troubleshooting, and configuration.
- Assist with application installation and troubleshooting for business-critical software.
- Create and manage local user accounts as needed.
- Monitor IT dashboards, proactively addressing system issues.
- Configure and map network printers across multiple locations.
- Perform routine software and hardware upgrades to maintain a secure and efficient IT environment.
Enterprise IT & System Management
- As part of a Team, support approximately 400 employees across four facilities, including remote workers (WFH).
- Administer and maintain Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Meet, Google Admin Console).
- Support Microsoft Server Virtualization and other IT infrastructure.
- Manage security solutions such as SentinelOne endpoint security and Verkada Surveillance.
- Configure and maintain mobile device management (MDM) platforms like Kandji, SOTI/MobiControl, Action1 (Microsoft).
- Support telepresence and conferencing platforms, including Ohmni Telepresence and Google Meet.
- Utilize AI-powered tools like ChatGPT to enhance IT support efficiency, automate troubleshooting steps, improve knowledge base documentation, and optimize user assistance.
License & Inventory Management
- Maintain software licensing across multiple platforms (Microsoft, Adobe, Google, Promevo).
- Decommission and re-provision mobile devices using Apple Business Manager (ABM) and Kandji.
- Ensure inventory management for all IT assets, including laptops, monitors, peripherals, and cabling.
- Additional IT Functions

- 3-5 years of professional experience in IT support or system administration.
- Demonstrated technical skillset and troubleshooting experience.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills at a professional level.
- Strong customer service orientation with a problem-solving mindset.
- Familiarity with AI-powered IT support tools (e.g., ChatGPT, automation platforms).
- Valid Driver’s License required.
- Comfortably climb up and down a ladder, kneel, stoop, bend, crouch and lift up to 10-20 lbs on a regular basis.
Preferred Education & Experience, But Not Required:
- Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (Microsoft, Google, Apple, ITIL, or other industry certifications) are a plus.
