Job Description

As a key member of the European Hub Marketing Services team, this Manager will concentrate on advancing business development opportunities across Europe, under the leadership of the Head of Business Development in Marketing Services. Marketing Services, a rapidly expanding division within Visa, delivers substantial value to clients through a comprehensive suite of services. This includes the end-to-end execution of marketing initiatives, achieved through close collaboration with Visa Consulting & Analytics (VCA), Marketing (Insights & Analytics, Activation & Usage, Sponsorship), and our sales organizations. The European Marketing Services regional hub team is dedicated to supporting local marketing teams by disseminating best practices, creating training and communication materials, and fostering key strategies to drive business growth.

This role is centred on business development, with responsibilities including leading and analyzing the EU business development pipeline across Europe to ensure visibility and representing the EU in the Global Marketing Services Center of Excellence. Additionally, the Manager will spearhead key strategic projects, such as overseeing the project management of the monthly newsletter and coordinating between the EU Hub and Global Marketing Services’ Hub for the creation of vital marketing collateral for the broader region.

This is a distinctive role requiring advanced problem-solving skills, exceptional communication abilities, executive presence, and a strong commitment to enhancing how marketing drives value for our business. If you are analytical, creative, detail-oriented, collaborative, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we are eager to discuss this opportunity with you.

What we expect of you, day to day:

  • Project Leadership: Independently lead projects or major workstreams, such as the Monthly Business Development Newsletter, with minimal oversight.
  • Process Optimization: Drive and support the centralization and streamlining of processes for creating marketing responses for new business development opportunities across Europe, actively participating in local projects as necessary.
  • Collaboration with Global Teams: Partner with the Global Marketing Services team to develop market-ready collateral for all stages of client engagement (prospecting, formal RFP response, pitch deck) for agreed set plays.
  • Information Management: Support the capture and upload of best-in-class examples, local insights, and expertise to Compass, ensuring easy access to these use cases.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Utilize data and apply analytical rigor to provide insights, demonstrating the value marketing brings to business decisions.
  • Training and Distribution: Lead the distribution and training on new marketing materials, decks, and insights for upcoming business development opportunities.
  • Operational Facilitation: Manage ongoing operations across key touchpoints, including recurring meetings with key stakeholders in the EU region. Engage with senior business leaders (Heads of Functions, Marketing Leaders) across Visa's matrix both locally and in other regions.
  • Value Proposition Development: Contribute to the development of value propositions for key business development proposals in collaboration with other functions, showcasing the value of marketing services.
  • Pricing Strategy: Inform key pricing strategy decisions by conducting detailed pricing analyses as needed.
  • Process Improvements: Identify, develop, and implement new business development process improvements to support business objectives, including responses to audit or operational risk findings

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
