Job Summary

A company is looking for a Watershed Riparian Forest Buffer Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and engage landowners to implement riparian buffer projects
• Implement actions in the Virginia Riparian Buffer Action Plan to establish and conserve buffers
• Provide technical assistance and training regarding forest buffer establishment and maintenance

Required Qualifications

• Knowledge of forest health issues and watershed management practices
• Experience in writing forest management plans
• Ability to work independently and in remote locations
• Experience in technical or professional natural resource management work
• Must obtain Virginia Pesticide Applicators License within 12 months of employment
