Project Overview:
VillageReach, in partnership with Bull City Learning, is launching the HPV Vaccine Peer-to-Peer Learning Initiative in Nigeria. This initiative is aimed at strengthening the capacity of staff at multiple levels of the immunization system to improve HPV vaccine uptake, particularly among out-of-school girls. The project will implement and evaluate two peer-learning approaches:
· Learning Exchange Program – A structured problem-solving and knowledge-sharing approach where immunization staff at multiple levels (“HPV vaccine champions”) collaborate with communities to identify and address HPV vaccination challenges and implement solutions. Three teams of HPV vaccine champions will be formed and participate in the Learning Exchange Program.
· Peer-to-Peer Learning Groups – A facilitated model where sub-national health managers combine self-paced digital learning with peer discussion groups to reinforce knowledge and best practices. At least three Peer Learning Groups will be formed and participate in this learning approach.
Both approaches will incorporate some level of in-person engagement while largely leveraging digital tools and platforms to facilitate engagement between participants.
