Veterinary Medical Assistant

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Veterinary Assistant.

Key Responsibilities

• Requests and communicates with Veterinarians for clarification of diagnosis/additional information necessary to accurately process claims
• Adjudicates claims for allocation of deductibles, co-pays, and provider reimbursements, ensuring proper payment
• Documents phone calls and follows up on issues, resolving problems related to claim adjudication

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency
• One year of veterinary medical experience or equivalency preferred
• Strong understanding of veterinary medical terminology
• Proven history of adherence to corporate policies and procedures
• Excellent tracking and follow-up skills
