Implementation Consultant - Bus Scheduling Specialist

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Implementation Consultant to join our team.  The Implementation Consultant will lead on Velociti Solutions (formerly Omnibus Solutions) bus scheduling software implementation and scheduling consultancy projects. 

Reporting to the Head of Delivery, this client facing role encompasses system configuration, software implementation, and client training.  The consultant provides scheduling support through the whole project lifecycle and builds strong and lasting client relationships.

In addition, the role encompasses leading on schedules consultancy assignments undertaken on an ad hoc basis for our bus operator customers.

This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week. Due to the nature of this role, there is not a set structure for office days. The role would be mainly remote with an expectation to work from the office occasionally, or as per business requirements. We have offices in Oldham, Sheffield, and Bromsgrove, and are happy for teams to work from whichever location is easiest.

Role and responsibilities

• Provide implementation support throughout the whole project lifecycle, including system configuration.
• Deliver tailored client training workshops and user documentation as required. 
• Ongoing client liaison to ensure that Velociti Solutions software products are fully utilised, and clients are receiving best value, including client meetings.  Client meetings and training sessions will be a combination of remote and on-site as required.
• Provide feedback on software from clients to the Product team, including requests for new software features and enhancements.
• Keep up to date with bus scheduling and consultancy products.
• Liaise with the Service Desk, Development, and Sales teams as appropriate.  Including assisting with client pre-sales software demonstrations and activities.
• Host webinar sessions with clients.
• Undertake schedules consultancy assignments for customers.
• Provide TransACT (industry leading manual scheduling course) training courses for customers.
• Provide internal training on bus scheduling products.
• Assist the Service Desk with client support, where there is an overflow of cases.
• Take a flexible approach to requests to perform tasks as directed.

Essential

• Previous experience in a bus scheduling or similar role.
• Ability to understand operational processes in a bus context.
• Minimum 12 months direct experience within the bus industry.
• Attention to detail.
• Willingness to travel, potential opportunity for international travel.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines.
• Customer focused.
• Team player; enjoy working in a team environment.

Desirable

• Software training experience, both online and face to face.
• Experience of using Velociti Solutions (formerly Omnibus Solutions) bus scheduling software products.
