UnionWare are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Analyst to support our growing team.

The Role:

The Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for creating an end-to-end test plan, executing it, and managing all its activities to ensure that all its objectives are met and that the solution works as expected.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review functional and design specifications to ensure a complete understanding of deliverables.
  • Identify test requirements from specifications, map test case requirements and design test coverage plan.
  • Develop, document, and maintain manual and automated functional test cases.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint retros, planning meetings, and team meetings.
  • Execute and evaluate manual or automated test cases and report test results.
  • Identify any potential quality issues per the defined process and escalate potential quality issues immediately to management.
  • Triage bugs or issues reported by staff.
  • Ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements.
  • Isolate, replicate, and report defects and verify defect fixes.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

 

About You:

  • A University degree in Computer Science or Business Administration or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years of software testing experience (traditional client/server and web-based software).
  • Experience with manual and automated testing (experience with TestComplete is an asset).
  • Basic knowledge of VB.NET/VBScript.
  • Basic understanding of SQL.
  • Experience with code-based units is an asset.
  • Experience with XML is an asset.
  • Excellent client service and communication skills.
  • Ability to understand and create test plans from specifications or verbal communications.
  • High work standards, work ethic, task completion, consistency, follow-up, accuracy/attention to detail, time management.
  • Personal management skills-accountability, self-management, adaptability, creativity, initiative, implementation skills, and problem-solving.
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada and can commit to Manitoba office 1 x per month.
