Location: Fully Remote, UK

Contract Type: Full-time, permanent, 40 hour per week Mon-Fri

Interviews: Max 3 stages totalling around 3.5 hours

Reports to: Head of Revenue, Emily Baldwin

Vable is an information management platform that enables you to aggregate, filter, and deliver customised content to the people you support. We are a profitable SaaS business servicing the needs of international law firms and government departments, mostly in the USA and UK.

With Vable, information professionals can monitor endless sources and create a customised database of all the news and information your organisation needs. 

We’re on a mission to help our clients become as efficient as possible when it comes to managing huge volumes of information - so that lawyers and business leaders can stay on top of the news that matters, and as a result make faster and better decisions.

The Role 👀

We’re looking for our next Vabler and are seeking an experienced, commercially-focused Lead Marketing Manager. The ideal candidate will lead and execute our integrated marketing strategy, with a particular focus on demand generation and campaign execution. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing campaigns that drive qualified leads, working closely with the sales team to ensure alignment and optimal lead conversion.

As a key member of Vable’s management team, you will manage a high-performing marketing team, with oversight of product marketing, branding, and communications functions. This is an excellent opportunity for a Marketing player-manager with a strong commercial marketing background and strong team leadership capabilities. We know that you will have meticulous attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively across our fully remote team.

We would love to hear from you if you have the Essential Criteria below: 📬

  • Minimum of 5+ years of B2B marketing experience, with at least 2 years in the legal tech sector.
  • Proven and demonstrable track record in lead generation and marketing automation (Hubspot a plus).
  • Strong experience in campaign planning, execution and measurement.
  • Excellent understanding of product marketing.
  • Excellent understanding of the SaaS business model.
  • Excellent understanding of content marketing.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with Sales Teams.
  • Experience in setting and tracking metrics, particularly revenue-generation targets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and can clearly and concisely communicate to various stakeholders. 
  • The right to live and work within the UK, coupled with demonstrable experience working within a fully remote setting.

A nice to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or a related field.
  • Understanding of the legal sector and its unique challenges.
  • Experience in a SaaS environment.
  • Worked in a similar size, scale up company.

What would your responsibilities look like? 👀


Team Leadership & Development: 

  • Manage and mentor a marketing team across demand generation, product marketing, brand and communications.
  • Define team structure and roles to support Vable’s business objectives.
  • Set clear goals and KPIs for the department and team members.
  • Foster a culture of creative problem-solving and data-driven improvement.
  • Manage team budgets and allocate resources accordingly.

Commercial Marketing & Lead Generation:

  • Develop and execute lead generation strategies across multiple channels and in conjunction with the sales team (develop a true commercial engine).
  • Own the implementation and optimisation of marketing automation activity in Hubspot.
  • Design, implement and manage lead scoring systems, lead nurture programs, lead management and handover processes.
  • Work closely with the Sales team to ensure that Sales and Marketing activities are seamless and support revenue generation goals.

Campaign Management: 

  • Plan, execute and measure integrated marketing campaigns across online and offline channels.
  • Develop audience/ICP-segmented campaigns and marketing approaches.
  • Own and report on campaign ROI.
  • Work with Vable’s Senior Leadership Team to create compelling company and product messaging and positioning.

Product Marketing & Content Creation:

  • Develop thought leadership and other communication materials to feed campaign strategy.
  • Develop product marketing (sales enablement) materials including case studies, white papers, technical product sheets, etc..
  • Maintain brand consistency across all marketing materials and channels.

  • We are a 40 hour week, Mon-Fri and have core hours, unless stated otherwise or agreed. Being a small remote team, it's how we operate.
  • This is an environment where autonomy is key, and we expect candidates to take initiative, solve problems independently, and be proactive in seeking out solutions when challenges arise. If you thrive on constant guidance, this is not the role for you.
  • We have various meetings per week and people are expected to attend and contribute.
  • We are scaling and our roles can be generalist. Each Vabler pulls up their sleeves, works as a team and gets the job done. If you like a company that has 100% of processes in place and you don’t like contributing to various areas, it’s probably not the best place for you to thrive.

Interview Process 💌

  1. Complete the application form.
  2. If shortlisted you will be asked to complete a one-way video interview.
  3. Intro Interview: You will meet a member of the People team for an initial discussion about your background, motivations and experience.
  4. 2nd Interview/Assessment: If after the intro call, we’re excited to proceed, you will be invited to a second stage interview with our Head of Revenue and another applicable manager. This stage will include an assessment.
  5. Final Interview: This will be with the CEO and Head of Revenue.
  6. Offer
