History Content Writer (Emails) - Contract to Hire

We are seeking a talented Writer (with a focus on historical content) to join our team and contribute to our marketing efforts. Our platform aims to deliver captivating historical content to our audience through various channels. The ideal candidate will have a passion for history, excellent writing skills, strong research skills, and a knack for crafting engaging email content. This position is... part-time for approximately 20 hours a month. Responsibilities: - Research and gather historical information on various topics and historical periods, ensuring accuracy and credibility (with references). - Stay up-to-date with historical events, discoveries, and trends to enrich our content continuously - Write our History by Mail weekly newsletter showcasing historical events for each day of the upcoming week. Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in History, Journalism, Communications, or related field (or equivalent work experience). - Excellent research skills and the ability to sift through historical sources to extract relevant and compelling information. - Familiarity with social media analytics tools and the ability to interpret data to inform content strategies. - Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment. - A passion for history and a desire to share intriguing stories and insights with a diverse audience
