Job Title: Part-Time Marketing Manager
Location: Chatham, Kent
Working Hours: Flexible part-time hours (exact days/hours negotiable)
Salary: £45,000–£60,000 (pro-rata, dependent on experience) + Benefits

We’re partnering with a respected supplier to frontline public realm departments and contractors across the UK. With a hard-working, focused team and a proven track record, the business is investing in brand and marketing to unlock its next phase of growth with a ‘start-up’ like focus to quadruple the business in the next 4 years.

 

This is a brand-new role - a blank canvas opportunity to deliver the company vision, shape strategy, craft campaigns, and build a strong, consistent market presence. You'll be joining a grounded, close-knit team where autonomy and fresh ideas are genuinely valued.

 

The Role

As the company’s Marketing Manager, you’ll lead the development of marketing strategy and execution from the ground up. Working alongside the Managing Director, you’ll bring structure, energy and consistency to all aspects of the marketing mix - from brand direction and messaging to campaign delivery and budget planning.

Design and web work is outsourced, but you’ll coordinate the output and ensure it aligns with the company’s commercial goals and have a keen eye for detail to ensure all work produced in on-brand. This is a rare chance to embed marketing as a key business function and influence long-term direction from the SLT table.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Own, shape and lead the brand and marketing strategy.
  • Build the company brand aligned to the vision
  • Plan and deliver digital and print marketing campaigns.
  • Lead content creation and communications planning.
  • Manage catalogue development with external partners.
  • Analyse performance data and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Set and adjust marketing budgets in line with business needs.
  • Lay the foundation for a future in-house marketing function.

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • Be able to lead strategy discussions whilst operating within the vision framework
  • B2B marketing experience, ideally in tools, trades, supply, or related industries.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to delivery.
  • Results driven
  • Strong eye for visual presentation and brand (design outsourced).
  • Confident managing multiple channels (digital, content, print).
  • A steady, self-motivated personality who enjoys responsibility and variety.

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with public sector/council or contractor audiences.
  • Experience in SMEs or growing businesses.
  • Ambition to build and grow a marketing function.
