YOUR MISSION

As True Anomaly's Avionics Leader, you will spearhead the development of cutting-edge objective avionics systems, integrating hardware electronics, embedded software and FPGA technologies to drive the future of aerospace innovation. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Your duties include working across multiple True Anomaly engineering teams to drive technical decisions that will enable the successful design, development, acquisition, and integration of avionics.
  • Facilitate system and requirements design, including make/buy, cost/risk/performance trades for next generation of Spacecraft avionics.
  • Lead team of embedded flight software, electrical designers and EGSE for avionics  
  • Architect, design and own the fabrication and certification of avionics test racks including hardware in the loop and software in the loop (HIL/SIL) platforms
  • Design, development, test and operations of digital and analog circuits, including DI, DO, AI, AO, and communications/bus/harness interconnects of RS-422, 485, Ethernet, USB, SPI, LVDS, LVCMOS
  • Owns fault detection and response between electronics, FSW and components across the Spacecraft.  
  • You will report to the VP of Space Systems.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience with advanced spacecraft avionics design and development programs. Must have strong experience supporting spacecraft integration and test in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in full life-cycle development of spacecraft and / or satellite avionics hardware, integration and test and mission operations support.
  • Understanding of various space environments as it relates to avionics design to ensure radiation hardness, tolerance and reliability.
  • Understanding of failure models and spaceflight electrical components.
  • Experience and understanding of spacecraft flight software architectures, design and engineering.
  • Proven track record leading and managing complex technical projects with tight deadlines. 
  • Experience with development in mission and safety-critical environments. 

COMPENSATION

  • Base Salary: $260,000-$330,000
  • Equity + Benefits including Health, Dental, Vision, HRA/HSA options, PTO and paid holidays, 401K, Parental Leave
