Job Title: Graphic Designer – Web & Social (Contract - 3 months, temp > permanent opportunity)
Location: Manhattan Beach (hybrid – in-office, 4 days/week)
Role Overview:
The Graphic Designer for Web & Social will be responsible for creating visually engaging, on-brand digital content that enhances the brand experience across our online presence. This mid-level role requires a designer who is both creative and technically skilled, particularly in Adobe Photoshop, with a deep understanding of design trends in the web and social media landscapes. We’re also seeking someone who enjoys sharing their expertise and mentoring junior designers.
Year-One Deliverables:
In the first year, this role will play a key part in refreshing the brands digital brand presence. Through innovative and engaging web and social graphics, the Graphic Designer will:
Reposition the brand with a modern visual identity that honors our heritage while resonating with today’s audience.
Bridge connections between past, current, and future consumers by developing consistent, memorable content that tells the brand story authentically across social and digital channels.
Elevate brand engagement by crafting unique, high-impact graphics that drive interaction and inspire loyalty.
Contribute to brand storytelling by exploring new digital styles and formats that can evolve with the brands core values and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop compelling and original graphics, illustrations, and layouts for web pages, social media posts, email campaigns, and digital ads.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, e-commerce, and product, to ensure brand consistency and support business goals through visual content.
Contribute to the brands online storytelling by creating engaging visual assets that resonate with our audience and reflect our brand values.
Stay up-to-date with digital design trends and best practices in the footwear and lifestyle industry, incorporating fresh ideas into the brands online presence.
Work closely with the marketing and social teams to produce graphics that drive engagement, foster brand loyalty, and align with key social media metrics.
Mentor junior designers, providing guidance, constructive feedback, and support to help develop their skills and align their work with the brand voice and design standards.
Assist in maintaining a cohesive visual style and organization of digital assets, optimizing workflow efficiency and quality control.
Qualifications:
5-7 years of experience as a Graphic Designer, preferably within the lifestyle, footwear, or fashion industry.
Proven expertise in Adobe Photoshop; proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, After Effects, and other Adobe Creative Suite applications is a plus.
Strong portfolio showcasing work on web, social media, and other digital platforms.
Knowledge of best practices for digital content design, including experience with responsive design, typography, and image optimization.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills; comfortable working cross-functionally and able to present and defend design decisions.
A passion for the brand and lifestyle, with a solid understanding of the digital and social media landscapes.
Prior experience mentoring or guiding junior designers, with a genuine interest in helping others grow professionally.
