Pay Range: $ 71,661 - $ 93,159 annual compensation

Workdays & Hours: Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm

A Management Analyst II job is available with the City of Fort Worth, Transportation & Public Works Department, Business Support Division.  

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Public Administration, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
  • Two (2) years of experience in the analysis of processes, procedures, operations, systems or methods, including experience in the functional area of assignment such as budget/financial management, research analysis or related experience.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • 2 years of Supervisory experience
  • Experience in Public Works Procurement including procurement software such as Bonfire.
  • Experience in contract analysis, governmental and capital project accounting, and complex data analysis.
  • Knowledge of records management and records management software such as Laserfische.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point), with strong experience in Excel creating pivot tables, linking data, and conducting analysis.
  • Knowledge of various enterprise software packages such as PeopleSoft, eBuilder, JD Edwards, Agiloft, etc.

The Management Analyst II job responsibilities include: 

  • Managing the procurement for Public Works capital projects
  • Develop and maintain process tracking tools and reports
  • Creating and analyzing monthly financial reports and facilitating quarterly financial meetings with key stakeholders
  • Capital project financial review and contract management support for Project and Program Managers
  • Serve as a liaison to external vendors, contractors, Financial Management Services, FWLAB and other City departments

Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically require touching, talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, walking and repetitive motions.

Physical Demand

Sedentary Work – Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work Page 4 of 4 involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
