Job Summary

A company is looking for a Lead Inpatient Coding Specialist who will provide leadership in coding and abstracting inpatient encounters.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinates coding workflow and manages complex accounts
• Organizes and prioritizes coding work to ensure compliance with regulations and targets
• Serves as a clinical coding subject matter expert and identifies documentation clarification opportunities

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (Required)
• 5 years of relevant work experience
• Certifications in coding from recognized organizations (e.g., Certified Coding Associate, Certified Coding Specialist)
• Expertise in medical coding and medical terminology
• Advanced understanding of compliance regulations and guidelines
