TEGNA owned KUSA-TV has an excellent, flexible opportunity for a talented Lifestyle Show Host to engage audiences, conduct compelling interviews, and create entertaining, informative content for daily lifestyle/sales show "Colorado & Company." You will be collaborating with the Executive Producer and fellow producers on sponsored and non-sponsored content that plays on multiple platforms. You must be a dynamic “morning person”- charismatic, and quick-thinking! This part-time role requires a strong on-camera presence, friendly demeanor, the ability to cold read scripts with ease, and a natural flair for creativity and improvisation.

Responsibilities:
•    Host a one-hour lifestyle show independently, engaging viewers through storytelling and interactive segments.
•    Conduct live and pre-recorded interviews with guests, maintaining a natural and engaging conversation flow.
•     Display dynamic energy while in the studio that actively resonates with guests and crew in a positive, welcoming and professional manner.
•    Adapt quickly to unscripted situations and think on your feet to keep content fresh and engaging.
•    Develop a strong, productive rapport with the Colorado & Company team and sales teams.
•    Be available for special projects and emcee opportunities, ensuring alignment with the station's branding and objectives.
Essential Daily Functions:
•    Work the hours based on your assigned schedule.
•    Attend and contribute to daily CO & CO morning pre-show meetings. Review scripts in-depth and present thoughts and ideas to producers. Attend daily post-show and planning meetings.
•    Create digital content daily.

Requirements:
•    Valid driver's license
•    5-10 years in broadcasting, hosting, or public speaking (TV, radio, or digital media preferred).
•    Strong cold reading skills and the ability to deliver lines naturally with minimal preparation.
•    A creative mindset with a passion for storytelling and branding.
•    High energy, confidence, and the ability to improvise and adapt in live environments.
•    Comprehensive understanding of social media
•    Must have excellent verbal and writing abilities: Experience in advertorial writing a plus.
•    Must have the ability to work under pressure with assigned deadlines
•    Ability to interact productively and positively with fellow employees
•    Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with an understanding of client relationships.
•    Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
•    Ability to multi-task and handle special assignments, including community outreach and sales-driven content.

Pay Range
$35$40 USD

Benefits:

Our 401(k) program offers full, part-time and temporary employees the opportunity to contribute 1% - 80% of their pay on a pre-tax basis to TEGNA’s 401(k). Contributions made up to the first 4% of pay are eligible for a 100% match from the company and are 100% vested from day one.

Regardless of participation in TEGNA medical plans, ALL employees and their eligible family members receive nine free virtual doctor’s appointments with a physician through Teladoc, and 12 free annual therapy sessions with a licensed clinician through Spring Health.

TEGNA offers a generous Paid Time Off (PTO) benefit as well as nine paid holidays per year.
