TED is looking for a Media Asset Manager/Video Encoder to join their Video Production Team. This position supports both the Post Production Lead and the Production team in delivering and creating necessary media assets for both in-house and external stakeholders.
This role requires the candidate to be in the office once a week while in training and as needed for events. Qualified candidates must be willing and able to travel periodically to TED events, both domestically throughout the United States and internationally (UK, Canada, Europe, etc).
Job Responsibilities:
QC, Ingest and media manage event media from TED, Institute and TEDTheater events
Coordinate delivery of TED assets from organizers
Conform TED video to spec before delivering to Assistant Editor for library prep
Onsite at Conferences: QC event media, coordinate media delivery to various staffers and freelancers
Maintain the integrity of Saas platforms like Media Shuttle, Frame.io and internal DAM
Work with Digital Products team in implementing new DAM system
Partner with Theater team to:
Manage workflows for recording & media management
Resolve video/audio issues
Manage media from events
Fulfill internal and external footage delivery requests
Support the encoding team on day-to-day tasks including live production
Tracking details and metadata for our archive of 30+ years of video
Considerable amount of data entry into proprietary content management systems
3+ years post production experience
Ability to juggle multiple projects effectively, each at different stages of completion
Experience with maintaining licensee and licensor relationships
Expertise in Final Cut Pro X, Quicktime Pro, Apple Compressor and other third party transcoding solutions
Encoding software, FFMPEG, Handbrake
Adobe Creative Cloud
Powerpoint and Keynote
Detailed knowledge of video codecs and frame rates
Comfortable with Apple/Mac OS environment, especially moving media across local and remote networks
Knowledge of cloud-based DAM systems
Audio knowledge not required, but a plus
Salary Range: 60,000-74,000 USD
