Engineering Manager - User Engagement

Position Summary:

Swiftly is seeking an experienced and results-driven Engineering Manager, User Engagement. The platform supports millions of MAUs across multiple retail grocery chains.

The ideal candidate is passionate about technology, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is committed to delivering world-class commerce solutions that enhance customer experiences and drive business growth.

• Lead: Manage, mentor a full-stack engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement
• Technical Vision: Define and execute the technical roadmap for expanding Swiftly’s retailer digital platform, driving advancements in areas such as product catalog, search, offers and circulars
• Cross-Functional Product Development: Closely work with Product, Data, Customer Success to deliver highly-scalable, self-servable platform solutions to help drive retail growth
• Innovation: Proactively identify opportunities to incorporate the latest technology trends
• Operational Excellence: Ensure system reliability, performance and security at scale. Always have awareness of the bigger picture spanning across the entire product platform
• Stakeholder Management: Proactively engage with leadership and Retail Operations to align priorities, resolve challenges and drive customer-centric decision-making process
• Other duties as assigned

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related technical field
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2 years in engineering leadership or management role
• Experience leading a full-stack team
• Experience in designing, building and scaling distributed systems
• Strong people management and communication skills

• Experience with Java, Kotlin, KMP, Kubernetes, Azure
