State Licensed HIM Data Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a HIM Data Integrity Specialist.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure data accuracy in the Master Patient Index (MPI) and coordinate with multiple departments to maintain patient information
• Investigate and resolve electronic medical record errors and manage chart correction processes
• Provide support for remediation workflows and educate front-line users on chart correction procedures

Required Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree in Health Information Management or a related field
• 0 - 3 years of experience in Health Information Management, preferably with MPI integrity
• Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) certification required within 18 months of hire
• Understanding of regulatory guidelines such as Joint Commission, CMS, and HIPAA
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
