This position is based on-site in the Greater Seattle Area.
Working with the President & CEO, the Executive Communications Manager creates internal and external communications and PowerPoint presentations. You will partner with the CEO and CFO in crafting content and messages that are both recurring and ad hoc in nature. The primary communication vehicle is a monthly message where this role will write, assemble content from others, edit and facilitate the distribution of this message. The other main focus will be the creation of impactful PowerPoint presentations on a variety of business topics where you will take disparate and at times abstract ideas, data, and strategy to create a clear articulation of ideas with a consistent narrative throughline. Key to success will be to establish and manage deadlines with adequate time for review by the CEO & CFO in addition to other contributors in a manner that tracks submissions and the different draft stages.

Additional success will ask you to listen to both the direct and indirect themes from both leaders and team members, read between the lines, and identify compelling information the team cares about and ensure the President & CEO is aware of the theme and context. This role works closely with the Executive Assistant, Executive Leadership Team, Field Communication Team, and other content contributors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Working with the President & CEO, draft, edit, version control and disseminate impactful communications, presentations and other content that are consistent in voice, tone, and narrative continuity.
- Manage the content creation process with adequate time for drafts, edits and other inputs which takes into account company activities, the rhythm of our business, and travel schedules.
- Collaborate with cross-functional team members to create and distribute internal communications and plans with a goal of consistent messaging across the organization.
- Write and develop error-free compelling messages on a variety of topics through emails, articles, video scripts, speeches and other internal communication channels while maintaining our brand voice, tone and values.
- Create impactful PowerPoint presentations for various different meetings and topics. This will include the quarterly board materials.
- Create and manage a predictable internal communications calendar.
- Support planning and execution of company all-hands meetings including running meeting presentations for presenters.
- Develop and deliver impactful, employee-focused storytelling across channels—spotlighting milestones, achievements, and the people behind the work.
- Build and maintain solid partnerships with internal partners to better develop, coordinate, direct, and facilitate strategic communications designed to meet business goals
- Experiment with new formats and channels to keep internal communications fresh, engaging, and impactful.
- Track the performance of internal communications to continuously improve communication effectiveness
- Serve as a listening post for team member concerns and share with relevant Executive Leadership Team member as necessary.
- Provide support virtual and in-person with team member events and leadership meetings.
- Assist in the project management of key executive and leadership meetings.
- Provide ad hoc and reoccurring reports to the President & CEO as needed.
- Occasional travel for meetings and other company business.
- Additional duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, or related field.
- 5+ years’ experience in internal communications, executive communications, or related experience.
- Exceptional writing, ghost writing, and storytelling experience with preference given to a future interest in speech writing.
- Strong (advanced) PowerPoint Skills are essential with the demonstrated ability to take abstract ideas and strategy and develop clear articulation of thought.
- Strong skills if drafting internal and external business emails, taking themes from President & CEO and with a consistent voice.
- Timeline management is a critical skill with a demonstrated ability to consistently meet deadlines, be responsive when short turn-around times are required, and be unafraid to remind others of obligations.
- Strong verbal and written communication/presentation skills with an emphasis on clarity of message and content that is easily understood.
- Ability to manage and work on competing priorities with a sense of urgency while maintaining strong attention to detail.
- Possess a solid understanding of working in and sharing communications in a SharePoint environment.
- Competent with working with Excel
- Mature, confident, and comfortable interacting with executive leadership team and other leaders and can adapt interaction style to suit the audience.
- Strong personal integrity with high ethical standards and able to maintain confidentiality and exercise judgment and discretion.

- Role will work in the office a minimum of four days a week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) with preference for five days.
- Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
There are no director supervisory responsibilities although in order to be effective this role will need to both partner and get results through others.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work onsite at the Corporate Office in Bellevue, WA for a minimum of 4 days a week.
COMPENSATION:
At Sono Bello, we believe that our team members are the keys to our success. The salary range for this role is $90,000 - $112,000 Annually + Bonus.
