Job Summary

A company is looking for a Sodium Fire Analysis Engineer for a remote contract position.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop analytical models for sodium chemical reactions and aerosol generation
• Perform software quality assurance for sodium fire modeling codes and support regulatory submittals
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to establish safety, performance, and design requirements for radionuclide containment

Required Qualifications and Skills

• M.S. or Ph.D. in nuclear engineering or a relevant engineering degree with at least 3 years of experience in the nuclear field
• In-depth knowledge of sodium chemical reactions and nuclear systems thermal-hydraulic
• Experience with sodium fire analysis using relevant computer codes is desired
• Familiarity with nuclear design and regulatory requirements for Non-Light Water Reactors
• Experience in working in multi-disciplinary engineering teams and strong analytical skills
