Payroll Specialist

Smoker & Company LLC is looking for a Payroll Specialist to join our team. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for managing the payroll operations of clients’ payroll and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of the process. Responsibilities

• Process payroll for multiple clients accurately and timely
• Calculate and record payroll taxes, prepare tax forms, process quarterly tax returns, and maintain payroll records
• Respond to client inquiries regarding payroll processing and tax compliance
• Communicate with clients and tax authorities to resolve payroll issues and disputes
• Maintain current knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations, withholding rates, and labor laws
• Perform year-end payroll processes and prepare W-2s and 1099s
• Assist with other accounting and bookkeeping tasks as needed

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Minimum of 2 years of payroll processing experience
• Knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations, withholding rates, and labor laws
• Experience with payroll software (preferably ADP or QuickBooks)
• Excellent organization, time management, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
• Detail-oriented and accurate with data entry and calculations
