Job Description

*This position will be a hybrid work arrangement with two days (M/F) optional to work from home/remote and three days (T/W/Th) in office/onsite at our NA headquarters in Edgewood, MD.

Purpose: 

Ensure that the business has the right people, in the right place, at the right time to execute their strategy. The Talent Acquisition Partner will provide the business with the highest quality talent, within the right timescales and at the right cost. The Talent Acquisition Partner will hold full accountability for all stages of the hiring process, from attraction to hire whilst ensuring the candidates have a quality experience throughout every step.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively drive and manage all recruitment activity within purview
  • Responsible for the full recruitment lifecycle for all assigned requisitions from attraction, screening, selection through to hire plus keep in touch activity during pre-boarding period
  • Write and post professional job adverts
  • Coach, challenge and advise Hiring Managers and leaders using recruitment and market data to inform and influence local and key hiring decisions
  • Manage all channels to the active candidate market including employee referral, e-sourcing, on and off-line advertising, events and agencies
  • Accountable for proactively building talent pools and pipelining for future recruitment needs identifying new channels and bringing innovative ideas
  • Coordinate with managers and candidates, scheduling interviews including making room bookings and sending accurate confirmations
  • Keep in touch with candidates serving notice, continuing engagement up to the point of onboarding
  • Provide support with global projects as required
  • Support hiring events in terms of planning and coordination
  • Support employer branding and candidate engagement initiatives
  • Ensure data quality is maintained to the highest possible standard with our Applicant tracking system
  • All other duties assigned

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Human Resources preferred) with 2 years minimum experience required or equivalent experience accepted.

Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Desirable
    • Proven recruiting experience within a complex corporate environment matrix ideally multinational
    • Experience of identifying both passive and active candidates across a variety of attraction channels
  • Essential
    • Able to positively influence at all levels of an organization up to senior levels, and to develop valued relationships with managers and Candidates alike
    • Exceptional communication skills
    • Bilingual in Spanish and English a plus

The compensation for this position ranges from $49,300.80-$115,035.20/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills, job-related knowledge, and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions. Smiths Detection provides comprehensive benefits including healthcare, 401K savings plan, company holidays, vacation, sick time, parental leave and an employee assistance program.
