Job Summary
The NSO Director (New Store Opening) will lead the strategy, planning, and execution of SKIMS’ retail expansion. This role is responsible for ensuring seamless new store openings, overseeing cross-functional coordination, and delivering an exceptional brand experience from concept to launch. The NSO Director will collaborate with Retail Operations, Visual Merchandising, Store Design & Construction, Marketing, and Talent teams to ensure a successful rollout of new locations globally.

Key Responsibilities
· New Store Opening Strategy & Execution
· Develop and oversee the NSO roadmap, ensuring all new stores open on time and within budget.
· Lead end-to-end project management for new store launches, ensuring alignment with brand standards and business goals.
· Establish and refine NSO processes, tools, and best practices to drive operational efficiency.
· Partner closely with the Retail Operations and Store Design teams to optimize store layouts, fixtures, and operational workflows.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
· Act as the key liaison between internal teams (Real Estate, Construction, Visual Merchandising, HR, Training, IT, Marketing) and external vendors
· Work with Talent Acquisition and Retail Training to ensure store teams are fully staffed, onboarded, and prepared for launch
· Align with Marketing to develop grand opening strategies, local activations, and customer engagement initiatives.
· Collaborate with Inventory Planning to ensure optimal product allocation for new locations.
Operational Excellence & Performance Tracking
· Establish KPIs and performance metrics to measure the success of new store openings
· Develop contingency plans to address potential roadblocks in the opening process
· Conduct post-opening evaluations to identify opportunities for improvement and refine future NSO strategies.
Qualifications
· 10+ years of experience in retail store operations, new store openings, or retail expansion.
· Proven track record of leading multiple store openings at a high-growth brand.
· Strong project management skills with the ability to manage complex timelines and multiple stakeholders.
· Experience in luxury, fashion, or high-volume retail environments preferred.
· Exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
· Ability to travel extensively for store openings.
