Position Overview


As Vice President of Sales, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by targeting the largest retailers in the US, with primary focus on grocery and big-box. You are the tip of the spear, acting as a strategic enterprise sales executive, driving consensus on a complex decision within large organizations, and forming meaningful relationships with decision-makers at the executive level. You will collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, and Client Success to deliver compelling go-to-market strategies for Tier 1 enterprise accounts.


Responsibilities
  • Enterprise Sales Strategy: Design and execute account-based strategies to secure multimillion-dollar recurring revenue contracts, with emphasis on top grocery and big-box retailers.
  • Pipeline Management: Identify, qualify, develop and nurture prospective enterprise accounts. Track and report on sales activities and performance metrics.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with Marketing, Product, Strategy and Client Success to efficiency and effectively move prospects through the pipeline, and build the foundation of sustainable, win-win partnerships.
  • Drive Negotiations & Closing: Own end-to-end deal cycles; negotiate contracts; leverage solution selling and consultative techniques to maximize contract value.
  • Achieve/Exceed Targets: Primary focus on net new CARR and new logos. The business is growing fast and this role will help fuel future growth.
  • Build Relationships & Thought Leadership: Serve as a brand ambassador, representing Simbe online, at industry events, conferences and within our client offices.


Qualifications
  • Experience: 10+ years in enterprise sales within robotics, retail technology or SaaS. Proven success securing and expanding eight-figure deals.
  • Retail Expertise: Deep understanding of Tier 1 retailer pain points, buying processes and decision-making frameworks, especially in grocery and big-box segments.
  • Strategic Mindset: Skilled at navigating complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders and a consultative approach. Strong quantitative skills required.
  • Communication & Storytelling: Exceptional ability to develop narratives that resonate at the C-suite level, showcasing tangible ROI and competitive differentiation.
  • Leadership & Ownership: Demonstrates boldness, ambition, and an “ownership” mindset. While this role does not have direct reports, you must be able to influence cross-functional teams effectively. You should set the bar for excellence within our Commercial organization.
  • Travel & Remote Readiness: Willingness to travel frequently to meet enterprise clients and attend critical in-person events.


$160,000 - $270,000 a year
This role will be eligible for a variable compensation up to $160-$270K per year.

The base offered may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including equity compensation, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
