Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Underwriter to review and evaluate residential mortgage loan files for borrower eligibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and underwrite various loan files for accuracy and compliance with guidelines
• Analyze credit reports, income documentation, and other relevant financial documents
• Collaborate with team members to resolve underwriting issues and ensure quality standards are met

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of mortgage underwriting experience
• DE (Direct Endorsement) and/or LAPP/SAR certifications strongly preferred
• Extensive knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, and USDA guidelines
• Proficiency with Encompass or similar LOS platforms
• Ability to work independently and make well-reasoned decisions
