Position Summary:

The Giants Baseball Operations Summer Internship is designed to help college students as well as recent graduates to gain experience working for an MLB team. The position will provide administrative support across baseball operations departments. We are looking for someone who is hungry, enjoys organization and research, has a passion for baseball or softball and is eager to learn.

 

Position Responsibilities:

       Assistwithvariousadministrativedutiesandprojectssuchasdailymaintenanceofmessages,mail, filing, phone calls, donation/ticket requests and frequent updates to department spreadsheets.

       Data entry into various databases.

       Organize and prepare current, former and potential player files.

       Assist with advance reports, player research and analysis.


Skills and Qualifications:

       StrongcomputerskillswithprovenknowledgeofMicrosoftOfficerequired–with proficiency in Excel.

       Experience with programming languages(e.g. SQL, R, Python) is a plus.

       ExcellentcommunicationwrittenandverbalskillswithabilitytocommunicateinSpanishaplus.

       Baseball/softball work or playing experience is a plus.

       Graduating seniors or graduate students preferred.

       Strong work ethic, initiative and desire to take on task sand projects.

       Excellentadministrativeandorganizationalskillswithstrongattentiontodetail.

       Highlevelofenthusiasmfortheworkathandanddesireforacareerinbaseballorprofessionalsports.

       Canhandleconfidentialmattersandinformationwithdiscretionanddiplomacy.

       Abilitytoworknon-traditionalhoursinnon-traditionalsettings,includingweeknightsandweekends.
