The Quality Specialist is responsible for supporting the Quality Management team for the successful and on-time delivery of company products and services, with the expected quality and scope. This role will identify key opportunities for improvement and focus on risks, opportunities and root cause analysis for the purpose of improving product reliability and process yield values. The responsibility of the Quality Specialist is continuous support of activities throughout the life cycle of products and services. Additionally, this individual supports data preparation and collection for the project, both internally and externally.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Production, Supply Chain and Logistic to ensure on-going performance meets defined targets and overall business needs 
  • Coordinate and support risks and lessons learnt processes on company, process and project levels and provides monthly monitoring of status in risk registers 
  • Support SPI DCON team with the release of items in Arena PLM   
  • Support key personnel with the improvement activities based on analysis of data 
  • Support investigation of non-conformances discovered during the product life cycle processes and work with key personnel to assure no re-occurrences 
  • Support investigation of customer feedback, rejections or complaints to eliminate non-conformances and their root causes 
  • Coordinate and support audit programs with auditors and process owners or auditees 
  • Provide guidance to fellow team members 
  • Coordinates corrective action responses from process owners or auditees, internally and from sources of supply 
  • Coordinate and direct special project assignments  
  • Continuously contribute to improve established processes 
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned  

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a related field 
  • 0-3 years of professional work experience in a similar role 
  • Risk based thinking in related areas.  
  • Prior aerospace industry experience 
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project and Outlook) 
  • Technical In-Flight Entertainment & Connectivity knowledge is advantageous  
  • Experience managing contracts is advantageous 
  • Experience with international business is advantageous
