Communications Specialist
Location: Fully Remote (South Africa)
Working Hours: UK Hours (Monday to Friday)
Salary: R30,000 - R35,000 per month (depending on experience)

Remote Recruitment is in search of a skilled Communications Specialist to enhance our internal and external communications efforts. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting clear and compelling messages that align with our brand and engage our audience effectively.
The ideal candidate will have experience in developing communication strategies, managing campaigns, and creating impactful content. You will play a key role in maintaining our brand voice across various channels while ensuring that critical information is delivered timely to both staff and clients.
Responsibilities
- Create and implement communication strategies that support company goals and objectives.
- Draft, edit, and distribute internal and external communications, including newsletters, press releases, and social media posts.
- Manage communication through various platforms, ensuring consistency and clarity of messaging.
- Collaborate with teams to gather information and develop content that showcases our values and services.
- Monitor social media channels and respond to inquiries and comments professionally.
- Support crisis communications efforts, preparing responses and managing messaging during critical situations.
- Conduct regular assessments of communication efforts to evaluate effectiveness and make improvements.
- Organize and coordinate communications-related events and activities.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience as a Communications Specialist, or similar role.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong understanding of communication channels and best practices.
- Experience creating content for various formats, including digital, print, and social media.
- Ability to develop and implement effective communication strategies.
- Proficiency in using social media and communication tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Mailchimp).
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or relevant field.
- Experience with crisis communications is advantageous.
