WAREHOUSE CUSTODIAN

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
Utilizing the floor scrubber in both automatic and manual modes to clean entire warehouse floor once per week.
Make constant rounds of all areas of the warehouse to ensure all trash and recycling is collected and disposed of in their proper receptacles.
Utilize the baler to bale loose cardboard. Once a bale is complete, stage baled cardboard for pickup.
Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment.
All other duties as assigned, to include but not limited to, end of shift cleaning assignments.
Examine workplace conditions daily to ensure they conform to applicable OSHA standards and Grimco’s Warehouse Safety Checklist.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The ability to work under varying (and sometimes extreme) temperature changes.
Become forklift certified (at company expense) within 30 days.
Ability to compete and pass a criminal background screening.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Requires the ability to lift, push, pull and carry tools and warehouse materials weighing 70+ pounds on a frequent basis.
Requires prolonged standing or walking, frequent bending, stooping, and reaching daily.
Requires a full range of physical motion to operate manual and electrically powered tools and machines (i.e., forklift).
