The Senior Analyst – Substance Testing Program Administration (STP) will assist in all aspects of substance testing program administration. The position will rely on strong analytical and business skills to assist with the completion of data requests/submissions and reporting analytics throughout the year as well as the development of various program functions. The position will also assist with the administration of various STP program compliance requirements.
• Analyze various DOT and Non-DOT programs, including random, follow-up, return to duty, reasonable suspicion, and preemployment.
• Ensure compliant administration of the DOT drug and alcohol programs, as well as adherence to Delta’s company drug and alcohol policies.
• Analyze various STP functions, including drug and alcohol history checks for prior DOT-covered employers, including tracking progress and final status.
• Audit and process drug and alcohol testing history checks for new hires and transfers into roles requiring safety-sensitive duties.
• Oversee and manage the collection of required DOT paperwork for all safety-sensitive new hires and transfers and ensure that all complete a timely DOT drug screen with a negative/pass result, as applicable, as well as that all three FAA mandated forms have been completed before the start date.
• Research and respond to requests from other airlines for drug and alcohol testing records and ensure responses are DOT compliant.
• Fulfill data and analytics requests for key STP projects including the annual MIS report, monthly STP trend reports, and other ad hoc projects.
• Analyze resource utilization, using web-based resources, and other program management tools to improve operational effectiveness.
• Partner with key stakeholders to complete and maintain standard monthly reports regarding STP activity.
• Ensure the maintenance of accurate and concise records and reports concerning all phases of the DOT and Non-DOT drug and alcohol programs.
• Interact with service agents who provide drug and alcohol testing services to Delta including completing needed research to address Delta record requirements.
• Complete mandated quality checks on services performed by service agents and that will become a part of Delta’s program.
• Assist with training and education sessions, as needed.
• Assist with the DOT pre-employment testing for GSC training candidates, including providing and collecting DOT required forms, conducting drug and alcohol testing history checks from prior DOT covered employers, and updating HR database with required safety-sensitive status indicators.
• Maintain technical knowledge to enhance process improvements utilizing LMS and ad hoc reporting.
• Practices safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.

What You Need To Succeed (minimum Qualifications)
• Familiarity with workplace drug and alcohol testing programs or other regulated programs in the airline industry is a plus.
• Ability to review and analyze data trends and issues to resolve challenges promptly as well as translate data into actionable information.
• Results-oriented and able to focus on details and provide consistent follow-through.
• Should be self-motivated, self-disciplined, and able to accomplish work objectives with or without direct supervision.
• Ability to work with highly confidential information and issues.
• Intermediate skills in MS Office, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint required.
• At least 2-4 years of direct professional-level experience.
• Must possess time management skills and be able to multi-task and manage multiple projects in a demanding environment.
• Must be able to provide exceptional customer service.
• Must be a team player and possess good written and oral communication skills.
• Must be performing satisfactorily in current position.
• Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
• Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
• Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
• Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.

What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (preferred Qualifications)
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resource Management preferred, or equivalent relevant work experience preferred.
