Staff SOC Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Staff Security Operations Center (SOC) Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of SOC analysts, managing 24/7 operations and staffing
• Oversee incident response lifecycle, ensuring effective resolution and developing response playbooks
• Monitor security events, optimize tools, and lead proactive threat hunting exercises

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience in security operations, with at least 2+ years in a leadership role
• Proven experience with SIEM platforms and incident response methodologies
• Solid knowledge of networking protocols, operating systems, and cloud environments
• Experience with EDR/XDR solutions and scripting for automation is desirable
