A company is looking for a Staff Editor for the Daily Desk (Remote).

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with sport editors to launch coverage around breaking news
• Edit and publish stories from sportswriters with accuracy and speed
• Write and report spot news and trending stories while identifying coverage opportunities

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years covering breaking news
• Keen news judgment and understanding of audience engagement
• Editing experience on news copy strongly preferred
• Ability to work scheduled night and weekend shifts
• Strong understanding of WordPress or equivalent CMS platform
