Southeast Regional Policy Manager

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Southeast Regional Policy Manager for its U.S. State Energy and Climate Policy Program.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain understanding of climate policy actions and political dynamics in priority states
• Build and maintain relationships with policymakers, partners, and stakeholders to advance emission-reduction strategies
• Collaborate with colleagues to define advocacy strategies and craft impactful messaging for state policies

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent/higher degree in a relevant field
• 3-5 years of professional experience in state or federal policy, advocacy, or political campaigns related to climate policy
• Proven skills in policy development and project management in a collaborative environment
• Ability to build and manage relationships with lawmakers and stakeholders in complex political environments
• Flexible to work outside typical office hours to accommodate colleagues in other time zones
