Job Summary

A company is looking for a Sales Tax Consultant to support Consumer-Packaged Goods clients with sales tax compliance and clean-up work.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct nexus studies to determine sales tax collection and remittance obligations
• Manage state tax registrations, remittances, and back filings for compliance
• Assist with clean-up of existing sales tax issues and ongoing compliance monitoring

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience in sales and use tax compliance, preferably in CPG, food & beverage, or manufacturing sectors
• Strong understanding of multi-state sales tax laws and nexus rules
• Proficiency with Shopify, Avalara, and TaxJar tax automation platforms
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, economics, or a related field preferred
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote role with minimal supervision
