Risk Adjustment Coding Auditor

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Risk Adjustment Coding Auditor II (AAPC or AHIMA coding certification required).

Key Responsibilities

• Perform over-reads of vendor ICD-10 coding and review provider documentation
• Validate the accuracy of ICD-10 codes assigned by the vendor and track trends
• Participate in quality coding initiatives and maintain knowledge of coding guidelines

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• High School Diploma or GED is required
• Minimum of three (3) years of diagnostic coding experience with a firm understanding of ICD-10
• At least three (3) years of experience in auditing medical records
• Experience with Risk Adjustment methodology is required
• AAPC or AHIMA coding certification is required
